Adventure: Lunch Date at the Temple Grill + #OOTD

I had the most amazing experience recently when one of my favorite humans treated me to lunch at The Temple Grill a luxury restaurant and outdoor space located at Bendel Estate, Warri, Delta State Nigeria.

I got to know about this place sometime late last year when I saw pictures of it on a friend’s status and since then I have been obsessing over visiting. You know I am a sucker for aesthetically pleasing spaces and this place met my expectations.

Space: I loved everything about the space, I liked how a small space was beautifully utilized.

 

It had a small sitting area when you walk in with a lovely swing by the wall with beautiful white mirrors with leads to the passage way with a chess board floor design. I loved the floors and the design on the wall.

The passage way leads to the indoor restaurant which is so beautiful and the outdoor floor space with beautiful wooden seats, cabanas and the reception area where you can place your order. Oh and they tried to give it this Greek Temple vibe which I absolutely caught on and liked.

Service and Entertainment: The staff were polite and our server was really nice and easy to talk to. He took these photos of us. Service however was a bit slow it took about 10 minutes for our drinks to get to us and another 10-15 minutes for our food to get to us but I didn’t really notice the delay because the entertainment was really good trendy music was blasting from the speakers and I had fun making videos, taking lots of pictures and laughing.
Food:

their menu had a variety of choice meals and drinks at affordable prices. Meals and drinks ranged from N1500 ($4) to N5000 ($13) on single meals which I think is fair. I was caught between ordering chicken fingers and chicken sharwama but the sharwama won.

It was really spicy but Tasty and quiet filling. I enjoyed eating it so did he. My friend ordered a plate of salad (rolling eyes #fitfam) which was really tasty also (we eat off each other’s plates). The drinks however were absolutely divine I ordered a strawberry smoothie that was a mixture of strawberries and ice cream. I absolutely enjoyed every sip he ordered a fresh pineapple smoothie which according to him was simply divine.

Company:

Saving the best for last I had the most amazing company. He is such a funny specimen, we have known each other for so many years and it’s amazing to see how much we have grown up. It’s always a great time with him and since it’s his birthday month I just want to say thank you for being one of the best humans I know (I won’t say it twice). I know you will read this so happy birthday dear more years of tormenting you I pray.

In conclusion I had a swell time I rate this place a strong 7.5/10.

My favorite thing from that day was this cute kettle used for washing hands very temple like felt like I was in Marrakech for a second. I will definitely love to revisit before I leave, especially with my sisters (time to get turnt).
