Travel Diaries: The cafe you want to visit in Warri (Featured Spot @didiscafe)

During my last trip to Warri, Nigeria. A small indigenous town famous for it’s mineral resource crude oil, that fuel’s the nation’s economy and the tenacity of its people, I experienced a beauty.

The Cafe which is also a co-working space features a variety of services from food to facilities for working. Customers go there for a relaxing time and a meal. Customers can also get some work done effectively. This Space is not only beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, but it is also neat, comfortable and gives great vibes.

Looking at the design, one will know the owners wanted to create a beautiful space and an experience for visitors. It is designed with vibrant colors of yellows, whites, and grays. The outdoor sitting area which serves for a mini photo booth is beautifully decorated with a flower wall with beautiful flowers and a small wooden sitting area.

The bar area graced with a floral ceiling, towers over a set of gray and gold high top chairs attached to a matching white wooden coffee table where one can drink some tea, coffee and get some work done. One can also hold a meeting with a client or have drinks with friends. House music played in low tunes sets a relaxing mood as customers can vibe to the tunes while doing their respective activities.

A menu ranging from Tea to wines, Burgers, fries to proper English breakfast and lunch is available for customers to choose from. Food prices range from N1500 ($4) to N3000 ($8) at max which is relatively affordable.Didi's cafe

A glass of red wine goes for N1200 ($3.5) and tea rranges from N1200 to N1500. For reasonably priced food, it was tasty and enjoyable.

We had the burger, fries and we drank wine.

Service was top-notch, a small space but service was reasonably paced. The waiter was polite and helpful in picking out the best off the menu.

The cafe was not easy to locate due to a lack of a sign outside the premises to indicate the existence of such a beautiful space. Management should look into getting a sign or banner outside the premises to indicate the existence of the space.

7.5/10 because of the ambiance, tasty food, and great service.

The lack of adequate directions is a no-no but that doesn’t take away from the amazing experience.

Address: opposite board of internal revenue, Veenell clinic, Okumagba Ave, Warri
